Patientell ("Patientell," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by MJ1, LLC, provides a platform that helps dental and medical offices ("Practices") collect patient feedback and review requests after a visit. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

By using Patientell or by receiving text messages sent through the Patientell platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the service:

  • First name
  • Mobile phone number
  • Feedback content you choose to provide (text responses or voice responses converted to text)
  • Message activity such as delivery status and your replies (e.g., YES, NO, STOP)

We do not sell your information.

Protected Health Information (PHI)

Patientell is not intended to collect, store, or process Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. We handle only basic contact information and the voluntary feedback you provide. Please do not include sensitive health details in your responses.

How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Send post-visit feedback requests and review invitations on behalf of your Practice
  • Process and route your replies (including opt-out and help requests)
  • Generate optional draft reviews you may choose to post
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the platform

SMS / Text Messaging

Text messages are sent through the Patientell platform on behalf of the Practice you visited. These are transactional messages for post-visit feedback and review requests.

  • Message frequency varies based on your activity and relationship with the Practice (typically up to a few messages per visit).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
  • Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. No mobile information is sold.

How We Share Information

We share information only:

  • With your Practice — the healthcare office that requested your feedback.
  • With service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., messaging and cloud infrastructure providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations, solely to deliver the service.
  • When required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not share your mobile number or messaging consent with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service to your Practice and to meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Opt out of texts anytime by replying STOP.
  • You may choose not to respond to any message.
  • To request access to or deletion of your information, contact us at support@patientell.com or contact your Practice directly.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Patientell is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
