Patientell for Oryx
Oryx is cloud-based, and so is our integration. Patientell connects through a cloud report sync: appointment reports from your Oryx account sync to Patientell, so there's nothing to install in your office.
TL;DR
Connect your Oryx account once, and appointment reports sync to Patientell. Patients get a review text after their visit, and reviews land in your dashboard.
- How it connects: Cloud report sync
- Install in your office: Nothing
- Contract: None, and no setup fee

How it works
- Connect your Oryx account. We set up the report sync with you.
- Appointment reports sync to Patientell. No one on your team exports anything.
- Patients get a review text after their visit.
- Reviews show up in your Patientell dashboard, with AI-drafted replies for your team to approve.
Before you connect
- Ask us about timing. Because this is a report sync rather than a live feed, we'll tell you what to expect between a patient's visit and their review text for your office.
- Privacy. Patientell is designed not to handle protected health information. We use the basic contact and appointment details needed to send review texts. See our privacy policy.
What we'd do today
- Make sure someone on your team can log into your Oryx account with admin access.
- Book a setup call with us.
- Read your last 20 Google reviews so you have a before number to compare against.
Questions
How quickly do review texts go out after a visit?
It depends on your report sync schedule. We'll set it up with you and tell you the expected timing for your office.
Which other systems does Patientell support?
Dentrix through a direct on-prem agent and Open Dental through a direct API. Patientell also supports Eaglesoft, Dentrix Ascend, Dentrix Enterprise, Denticon, Curve Hero, eClinicalWorks and many more.
Can we only send review requests to happy patients?
No, and you shouldn't want to. Google's review policy says businesses must not selectively ask happy customers for reviews (called review gating), and the FTC's 2024 rule on consumer reviews cracks down on suppressing negative ones. Ask every patient. Any vendor that offers to filter unhappy patients away from Google is putting your profile at risk.
Is it safe to reply to patient reviews?
Yes, but never confirm that the reviewer is a patient or mention their treatment, even if they did first. HHS has fined dental practices for revealing patient information in review replies. Keep it to "Thanks for the kind words, we're glad you had a good experience." Whatever AI reply tool you use, including ours, have a human read every draft before it posts.
